New preprint is available on a fun paper we made in collaboration with the Procyk lab (INSERM, Lyon). The paper was driven by the great work by Zsombi Ungvarszki.
The paper reverse engineers the neuronal arithmetics underlying the deliberation of alternatives, and demonstrates that in contrast with the widespread reinforcement learning account, our fellow primates rely on an ecology-inspired strategy, foraging.
The paper is available as a preprint at biorxiv : https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2025.09.29.679289v1
